My favorite recipes

Simply everything from Ottolenghi. This guy is a genius that manages to surprise with unique and bold flavors and textures in every single dish. If you have not tried anything, I highly recommend the Saffron chicken and herb salad, or the Stuffed aubergine in curry and coconut dal.

Places, I have visited

"Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow"

This map shows the places, I have travelled either alone, with my family, friends or co-workers. As you can see, there is still plenty to explore...

Places I have lived

Bern, Switzerland

This is where I currently live with my family

Bern/Bärn/Berne/Berna is a wonderful city located next to the pituresque river Aare and close to lake Thun and the stunning bernese alps. I love swimming in the Aare, Bärndütsch, and the patience and the contentment of the people here.

Konstanz, Germany

Konstanz is a university city located at the western end of Lake Constance in the south of Germany. The city was the residence of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Konstanz for more than 1,200 years. The Bodensee and river Rhine are great for swimming.

Stuttgart, Germany

Stuttgart (Swabian: Schduagert) is the capital and largest city of the German state of Baden-Württemberg located in a fertile valley known locally as "Der Kessel". I always missed the nature a bit, but I am always looking back with great happiness to the good times at Cafe Weiss (the one with Ranko), Teehaus, the Röhre D'n'B parties, and Bad Berg.

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnamese: Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh) or Saigon, is with a population of over 8.9 million the largest city of Vietnam. It surrounds the Saigon River and is the economic, financial, cultual and scientific centre of Vietnam. I had the pleasure to live 6 months in this crazy city and loved the amazing food (Cafe sua da, Pho, Banh xeo, and, and, and...), and the perfectly organized chaos.

Berlin, Germany

Berlin is the capital and largest city of Germany by both area and population. Berlin is a world city of culture, politics, media and science and is unusual among European capitals in many respects. It's a crazy and awesome place to live, especially when studying.

Horgenzell, Germany

Horgenzell is where I grew up and lived for the first 20 years of my life. Horgenzell is a municipality in south Germany (near Ravensburg) and was first named in 1094. It is rumored to host Germany's best fruits and vegetables stores (Merz Obsthandel GmbH).
